My hack exploits a basic truth of human existence: haikus are funny. Give it any ordinary text file, and it will generate as many haikus from its contents as you like.
Drag any text file onto iKu. Then, tell iKu how many haikus you'd like and where you'd like the output file to go. iKu will parse through its first five hundred words; checking the syllable count for each. So long as there are at least one apiece of one, two, three, and four syllable words, iKu will fill the outputted text file with haikus for your enjoyment.
Due the inanity of the English language, it sometimes messes up the syllable count (although it does do a pretty good job ...a see the source code for details). In especially difficult cases (like words ending in -es or -ed), iKu rejects the word outright.
How's that for bad documentation! (forgive me ... I'm exhausted.)
